Overview

Slurp simply oscillates 3 axis of rotation with 3 independent oscillators. These axial rotations manipulate each other in a multidimential way. The end positions of each axis is then projected back into audio space and combined into one waveform.

SLURP

The main slurp controls and visuals. These visuals represent the end result of all our oscillators influence.

Rotations

Slurp lets you control 3 different axis of rotation with 3 seperate oscillators. You can also add a constant rotational value to an axis with their cooresponding Rotation knob.

You can also sync the axial rotation to the current notes frequency with the Follow Note context menu item.

Influence

Each resulting axis values influence on the final sound can be manipulated with its corresponding Influence knob.

Stereo

SLURP has 3 different stereo settings; Off, Sides, and Full. Full incorporates the the sides and center influence while the Sides only incorprates left and right values while ignoring the center channel.

Intensity

Vaguely controls the oscillation intensity. The higher the value the wider the rotations with a little extra quaternion magic sprinkled in.

Slide

Increasing the slide value will increasingly smooth the incoming midi note.

Projection Axis

Controls the direction the "camera" will be looking at the rotation end result before converting it back into sound. Can be X, Y, or Z.

Spread

Enabling will evenly spread each voice within the 3D rotational space.

Voicing

Slurp can be set to polyphonic mode by increasing the amount of voices it can use (16).

Oscillators

Each axis has a dedicated oscillator associated with it.

Octave / Ratio

Depending on the oscillators mode this knob can represent the octave or a clock ratio to oscillate at.

Influence

How much the oscillator influences its assigned roational axis.

Phase

The phase of the waveform. Only applies to
SINE
SAW
PHASOR
SQUARE
oscillators

Slop

Determines how strong the dephase is for to the oscillator. This is also designed to specifically dephase in the way the original SLURP VCV module did if fully enabled.

Type

This sets the style of oscillator.

The options are:
SINE
SAW
PHASOR
SQUARE
NOISE

Follow Mode

Follow Note The oscillator will follow the note the voice is playing.

Note Only follows the note specified in from the Octave knob.

Ratio Follows a ratio of time determied by the clock.

Noise Options

Specific options when the oscillator is in noise mode:

  • Noise Type

  • Lets you choose the specific noise algorithm to use. The options are: Simplex, Cellular, Perlin, White, Red, Blue.

  • Fractal Type

  • Fractal setting for the Simplex, Cellular, and Perlin noise types. Values: None, FBm (fractional brownian motion), Ridged, Ping Pong

ADSR

The master ADSR envelope all voices pass through. This envelope triggers on audio events; note down, note held, note release.

Attack

Sets the ramp up length of the envelope.

Decay

The ramp down length towards the sustain value of the envelope.

Sustain

The volume to sustain while the note is held down.

Release

The ramp down length after a note has been released.
